SEO Philippines is a group composed of over 477 search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO) professionals dedicated to the development of the SEM, SEO and Internet marketing industries in the Philippines.
In pursuit of these goals, the group maintains two web properties:
- The SEO Philippines Discussion Group - an exclusive email group for search engine marketing (SEM) professionals and enthusiasts based in the Philippines, but we have members from different parts of Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. Members discuss the latest SEO news and share insider tips on optimization and monetization techniques.
- The SEO Philippines Blog - an open blog project where SEO Philippines members can post topics that help push the SEM / SEO agenda in the Philippines.
- The SEO Philippines Forum - meet the other Filipino SEOs in the SEO forum with the mostest.
Why push SEM and SEO in the Philippines?
Marc Hil Macalua, SEO Philippines founder, is convinced that the Philippines can become the next SEM/SEO outsourcing mecca. With a talented creative (marketing, copywriting) and technical (web programming) base, the Philippines can be positioned as a good alternative to traditional SEM outsourcing hubs like India and Eastern Europe. For that to happen, the level of SEM and SEO knowledge locally has to spread and mature.
SEO Philippines hopes to play a leading role in speading the SEM gospel to Filipinos.
